yea need multiband compression

when you muffle the track you get that weird static sound when the kick hits probably just put the whole track on the multiband compressor and set it to one of the mastering settings. (or jjust master the kick by itself to get rid of that extra sound

Thanks for the tip, I'll probably just master the kick individually. I did very little mastering on this track to begin with so most of the sound is just customized synth and EQ but I'll be sure to go back and add that in.
